Borja Bonafuente Gonzalo (1978) was born in Madrid, the Spanish city where he currently lives as a painter. Formerly trained as a lawyer, he studied drawing at the Art Student´s League in New York and Madrid but he can be considered mainly selftaugh.
Borja paints in a realistic or hyperrealistic way and his works has been shown in galleries all around Europe (mainly Spain) and Australia. He has worked for TIME Magazine, MOJO Magazine, Rolling Stone, Hemispheres and publicity campaigns for Kentucky Fried Chicken, mDNA, Red Islands Ale, Mr.Glue Stories among others.
He also works as a designer for the music industry having illustrated album covers and tour posters for spanish bands as Amaral, Antonio Vega, Deluxe, Barón Rojo, Shuarma, Lovely Luna, Lüger and quite a few more.
He's currently working on his fourth solo show of paintings called "AZULPEROROSA" in Madrid.
