István Szugyiczky is a Hungarian graphic designer. He graduated at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts with an MA in Graphic Design and received a PhD from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
Having worked as an art director for many years on various global brands, nowadays he is interested in poster and cover design, type treatment, type design and illustration, and has worked for clients including Nike, Audi, Volkswagen, HSBC, Sony, Forbes, Variety, Billboard, Wired, Financial Times, The Guardian, Bloomberg, Fortune, BMG, TimeOut, GQ, ESPN, Men's Health, BBC, New Scientist, and also for agencies such as BBDO, M&C Saatchi, AKQA, Leo Burnett and many others.
István has also made posters for organizations such as Unicef, Greenpeace and Amnesty International, featured in many social and environmental poster exhibitions worldwide and his work has been published in Computer Arts, IDPure, CA Projects, IdN, Beautiful Decay, Semi-Permanent and various books by different publishers from Thames & Hudson through BNN to Gestalten.
