Biography

Lee Binding is a visual artist and creative retoucher who treats key art like high drama and Photoshop like a controlled substance. Best known for turning cult television into cinematic spectacle, he creates art that feels epic and luminous. He moves effortlessly across retouching, digital illustration, packaging and key art - joyfully applying his craft wherever bold visuals are required.

He is widely recognised for his long-standing association with Doctor Who, serving as key artist and designer across multiple incarnations of the series. He delivered the iconic imagery for both the 50th and 60th Anniversary celebrations, and loads of other artwork that has been adorning fans' bedroom walls for decades. He has created the design concept and all the artwork for the long-running Doctor Who: The Collection Blu-ray range. From Time Lords to cult sci-fi icons, his work has helped define the visual identity of some of television’s most beloved properties.

A four-time Adobe Behance featured artist, Lee is recognised for bold composition, cinematic scale and a finish polished to near-impossible levels - all delivered with unapologetic geek fluency. His aesthetic thrives on impossible light sources, heroic silhouettes and the quiet confidence of someone who knows exactly how far a lens flare can go before it becomes a crime.
