Biography

Patrick George is a graduate of Falmouth School of Art. His illustrations are concept-driven, with the simplicity of an idea and its execution being at the core of his work, incorporating visual twists and wit to engage the viewer. Patrick aims to bring a new perspective to familiar topics, whether appearing as a suite of informative icons, an infographic to bring data to life, an editorial piece to lift an article or a billboard in Times Square.

His work has featured in D&AD, AOI's World Illustration Awards and touring exhibition, Communication Arts, 3x3 Annual and won a SPOTS editorial award. Patrick has also had his work featured in Design Week, and referenced in 'The Power and Influence of Illustration' by Professor Alan Male.

Since signing with Début Art in 2010 he’s enjoyed working on a variety of projects across editorial, advertising, publishing, film and music sectors, for clients including Adidas / Boeing / Cosmopolitan / Dell / EMI / ESPN / Fidelity / GQ / Harvard Business Review / Johns Hopkins University / Kiplinger's Personal Finance / Lloyds of London / Men’s Health / Microsoft / New Scientist / Pfizer / Radio Times / Scientific American Mind / SHOP Magazine / The Times / Toyota / Vodafone / Wall Street Journal / Washington Post / Women’s Health.

He also publishes his own innovative range of children’s books which have been translated into 17 languages. ‘Animal Rescue’ was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal for illustration and the prestigious German Youth Literature Prize. His latest book, ‘Planet Rescue’ was released in 2019 after a successful crowdfunding campaign.
