Jon Burgerman - Southbank Centre Imagine Children’s Festival

Jon Burgerman has designed 6 characters for a children’s festival, ‘Imagine children’s festival’, at the Southbank Centre in London. Jons illustrations are based on drawings made by children submitted especially for the event. He took all their many drawings and selected different elements and integrated them into the character designs. The work will be appearing as posters, stickers (some of the posters and stickers being above), signs, t-shirts and more all over the festival venue. The festival is from February 11th -24th 2013 with more info on tickets here.

Celebrating 10 Years of Visualizing Science: Featuring Artist Simon Prades

AAAS hosted a recent gallery show, “Invisible, novel, and complex: A decade of visualizing science”, which was a 10-year retrospective show of visuals from Science magazine, being shown in their home office in Washington, DC. One of the highlights of the exhibit included a pair of pieces about Neurodegeneration by Simon Prades, originally commissioned for the October 2, 2020 issue of Science. Royal Shakespeare Company commissions Lisa Sheehan for B.F.G

Lisa had the pleasure of creating the artwork for The Royal Shakespeare's upcoming production of 'The BFG' (The Big Friendly Giant). The show, directed by Daniel Evans and adapted by Tom Wells is set to debut later this year.

Alan Kitching's mural to celebrate Mary Quant

Alan Kitching was commissioned by Cadogan Estate to create a mural in central London. The mural celebrates Mary Quant’s fashion work in the building in the 1960’s. Originally created in letterpress then translated into paint onto a 40ft wall by Will Impry. You can view the artwork on King’s Road near Duke of York Square in Chelsea, London.
