Début Art Welcomes Chris Skinner

We are delighted to welcome artist Chris Skinner to Début Art. Chris joins us as a highly successful illustrator and designer. He has worked for a variety of companies across a range of sectors and media, including interactive, broadcast, motion graphics and print. For the last 6 years Chris has worked as a freelancer and has focussed on illustration work.

Chris uses a mixture of techniques in his exceptionally detailed illustrations, including traditional media, 2D digital, 3D modelling and digital sculpting. He also works with motion graphics using 3D and 2D techniques to create style frames and videos.

Previous clients include: Marvel, DC Comics, 20th Century Fox, Studio Canal, BBC, Ubisoft, Universal, 2waytraffic, Mondo, Acme Archives, Marks & Spencer and ASDA. Chris also regularly exhibits art in pop culture galleries across America, and his limited edition screen prints are highly sought after.

Celebrating 10 Years of Visualizing Science: Featuring Artist Simon Prades

AAAS hosted a recent gallery show, “Invisible, novel, and complex: A decade of visualizing science”, which was a 10-year retrospective show of visuals from Science magazine, being shown in their home office in Washington, DC. One of the highlights of the exhibit included a pair of pieces about Neurodegeneration by Simon Prades, originally commissioned for the October 2, 2020 issue of Science. Royal Shakespeare Company commissions Lisa Sheehan for B.F.G

Lisa had the pleasure of creating the artwork for The Royal Shakespeare's upcoming production of 'The BFG' (The Big Friendly Giant). The show, directed by Daniel Evans and adapted by Tom Wells is set to debut later this year.

Alan Kitching's mural to celebrate Mary Quant

Alan Kitching was commissioned by Cadogan Estate to create a mural in central London. The mural celebrates Mary Quant’s fashion work in the building in the 1960’s. Originally created in letterpress then translated into paint onto a 40ft wall by Will Impry. You can view the artwork on King’s Road near Duke of York Square in Chelsea, London.

Début Art is very excited to welcome in Jay Gordon. Jay Gordon is a Cape Town based illustrator with 14 years experience creating artwork for a spectrum of clients ranging from editorial illustration to product campaigns, packaging, poster designs and everything in-between. His twin passions are draftsmanship and storytelling inspired by great cinematographers, novelists, golden age illustrators, comic artists and graphic designers.
