We are very pleased to announce that an old friend of Début Art, Oscar Wilson, will now part of our roster.

We have worked with Oscar for many years now on a project to project basis so it's great to finally be able to show his work in all its glory.

Studio Oscar was founded in London by Oscar Wilson in 1996.

Specialising in image creation and hand crafted typography, Oscar Wilson produces work for a wide variety of clients, with commissions from the advertising world, fashion, publishing, film and TV.

Previous clients include: Crisis, Fabric, Guinness, Honda, Levi's, MTV, Nike, NME, Orange, Penguin, Sky TV, Stüssy, Transport For London, The Observer, Time Out, Twentieth Century Fox, Virgin Atlantic, Visit London, Volkswagen.

Agencies: AMV BBDO, Arnold Worldwide, M&C Saatchi, Mother, RKCR Y&R, Start Creative, WCRS, WWAV Rapp Collins.

Celebrating 10 Years of Visualizing Science: Featuring Artist Simon Prades

AAAS hosted a recent gallery show, “Invisible, novel, and complex: A decade of visualizing science”, which was a 10-year retrospective show of visuals from Science magazine, being shown in their home office in Washington, DC. One of the highlights of the exhibit included a pair of pieces about Neurodegeneration by Simon Prades, originally commissioned for the October 2, 2020 issue of Science. Royal Shakespeare Company commissions Lisa Sheehan for B.F.G

Lisa had the pleasure of creating the artwork for The Royal Shakespeare's upcoming production of 'The BFG' (The Big Friendly Giant). The show, directed by Daniel Evans and adapted by Tom Wells is set to debut later this year.

Alan Kitching's mural to celebrate Mary Quant

Alan Kitching was commissioned by Cadogan Estate to create a mural in central London. The mural celebrates Mary Quant’s fashion work in the building in the 1960’s. Originally created in letterpress then translated into paint onto a 40ft wall by Will Impry. You can view the artwork on King’s Road near Duke of York Square in Chelsea, London.

Début Art is very excited to welcome in Jay Gordon. Jay Gordon is a Cape Town based illustrator with 14 years experience creating artwork for a spectrum of clients ranging from editorial illustration to product campaigns, packaging, poster designs and everything in-between. His twin passions are draftsmanship and storytelling inspired by great cinematographers, novelists, golden age illustrators, comic artists and graphic designers.
