Lisa Sheehan / "It's a Rich Man's World"
Wired Magazine's Money 2025 money issue, aptly titled "It's a Rich Man's World," as imagined by artist Lisa Sheehan. How did she bring this piece to life? In her own words: "To make the credit card as authentic as possible I redrew the American Express pattern in Illustrator with the WIRED headline included. The card was then created in Cinema 4D and I drew the etching of Trump in photoshop. This all came together and was animated to give the feel of an apple pay screen. This was a multi disciplined approach, 2D textures drawn and then rendered in 3D." You can check out the animated piece and more of Lisa's work here.
Welcome Sara Gironi Carnevale to Début Art
Welcome to Sara Gironi Carnevale who recently joined Début Art. Sara lives in Italy and has been illustrating since 2016. Sara works digitally but her process remains traditional in terms of brainstorming and composing. The illustrations are done in a sketchbook before refining them in Procreate and then finalising all artwork in Photoshop. Her work is vibrant, luminescent and dreamlike, with intricate details, strong concepts and compositions. Sara has the ability to present complex topics in a way that is visually easy to understand. Eoin Ryan / TfL 25 Years
Eoin Ryan was commission to create one of a series of new illustration to commemorate 25 years of TfL. The aim of the campaign is to remind Londoners why they love TfL and highlight the rich connections, improvements, and influence it has brought to their lives over the past 25 years. Celebrating 10 Years of Visualizing Science: Featuring Artist Simon Prades
AAAS hosted a recent gallery show, “Invisible, novel, and complex: A decade of visualizing science”, which was a 10-year retrospective show of visuals from Science magazine, being shown in their home office in Washington, DC. One of the highlights of the exhibit included a pair of pieces about Neurodegeneration by Simon Prades, originally commissioned for the October 2, 2020 issue of Science. Royal Shakespeare Company commissions Lisa Sheehan for B.F.G
Lisa had the pleasure of creating the artwork for The Royal Shakespeare's upcoming production of 'The BFG' (The Big Friendly Giant). The show, directed by Daniel Evans and adapted by Tom Wells is set to debut later this year.
Alan Kitching's mural to celebrate Mary Quant
Alan Kitching was commissioned by Cadogan Estate to create a mural in central London. The mural celebrates Mary Quant’s fashion work in the building in the 1960’s. Originally created in letterpress then translated into paint onto a 40ft wall by Will Impry. You can view the artwork on King’s Road near Duke of York Square in Chelsea, London.

Doug John Miller shortlisted for the AOI's World Illustration Awards
Doug John Miller's cover for Chemistry World magazine has recently been shortlisted for this year's Association of Illustrators World Illustration Awards. Doug was commissioned to create 3 illustrations for Chemistry World's May 2023 issue on energy storage. The illustrations detailed the potentiality and production of lithium-based storage.
Alex Williamson / It's Showtime! / Blackpool Museum Installation
Showtown: the museum of fun and entertainment, and Blackpool’s first museum, opens its doors on the iconic Golden Mile on 15 March after six years of development. Across six interactive exhibition spaces, Showtown is an immersive, behind- the- scenes journey through what makes the seaside town famous. A multi- layered and visually rich experience, the museum celebrates and details the unique Blackpool aesthetic and its richly layered cultural heritage; seaside, circus, magic, show, dance and illuminations, and the entertainers who put the town on the map. Showtown uses eye-catching graphics and large scale artworks by Alex Williamson who was commissioned by Cason Mann to enhance the experience, visually weaving the museum’s interactive exhibits, objects and stories together. Introducing Gianluca Folì
We are delighted to announce that Début Art now represents Italian illustrator Gianluca Folì. Gianluca Folì is an award-winning illustrator who lives and works in Rome. He likes pizza but doesn't play the mandolin. In more than 20-years of his career, Gianluca has pursued a path of study, of gaze, of search for his own intimate vocabulary. He explores the connection with things, visually referencing the objective correlative in the poetry of Thomas Eliot and Eugenio Montale which clearly represents emotions through things and the breaking of the boredom of everyday life. Gianluca's images stem from this narrative, transformed into shapes and colours by an alchemical process, with elegant momentum and modulation of the visual. The creative force of his images is balanced by a tightrope walking technique, in a happy and magical balance between drawing and color, between reality and the surreal.
