Peter Strain / David Lynch for the "Drawing Dave" exhibition

Peter Strain has created a stunning typographic portrait of one of cinemas most interesting and influential directors, David Lynch. He has created the portrait for the 'Drawing Dave' exhibition. On the back of the successful 'Drawing Dave' social media campaign, which was launched in January, Dan Genders and Trevor Pitt have co-curating an exhibition of Daves drawn by artists from around the globe – all in memory of Roger Lloyd Pack and in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK. The show will run from May 10 to 14 at the Secret Cellar, which is part of AceFace Barbers, of Bristol Street, Birmingham. All the artwork will then be available to buy via a silent auction and all proceeds will go to support Pancreatic Cancer UK. Use the hashtag DrawingDave to follow the progress and show your support! Proudly Introducing Tobias Hall

Since graduating in 2010, Tobias has specialised in lettering, murals and typography, making it the heart of his illustration practice. Tobias' designs are characterised by his attention to fine detailing, his rich colour palettes, and the singular way he is able to combine digital techniques with a hand-crafted outlook. His work is bold, impressive, beautiful, and his versatility has meant he’s been lucky enough to work on an eclectic mix of projects for a growing list of international clients. Alan Kitching / A Life in Letterpress

Alan Kitching is one of the world’s foremost practitioners of letterpress typographic design and printmaking. He is renowned for his expressive use of wood and metal letterforms in creating visuals for commissions and limited edition prints. He lives and works at The Typography Workshop in Kennington, south London, which he shared with designer, writer and partner Celia Stothard (deceased 2010). This exhibition is a landmark event. It will not only show finished pieces of work but showcase the method and process behind key works with sketches, proofs and roughs gathered from Alan's own archive. Viktor Koen / SVA NYC “Where Art Is Made”

Viktor Koen, alumnus and faculty member of the School of Visual Arts, designed and illustrated their latest subway poster celebrating the creative and productive spirits at the heart of SVA. Boasting the phrase “Where Art Is Made,” the bright and colorful posters hit the New York City platforms underground this week just in time for Spring, and will be on view through Sunday, June 5. MFA Design Co-Chair Steven Heller says, “SVA has so many incredible offerings, but the common denominator throughout the college is and always will be Art.
